The dogs of Cut N Loose

We are not a professional training kennel or breeders. Some dogs on this page are available for breeding/stud and only if they are health tested, hunt tested/trialed, and we believe they are up to standard to be bred. These dogs are also our family members and hunting buddies and deserve as much of a page as we do

Our dogs

Oslo –

Oslo is a German Shorthaired Pointer. He is larger than the average gsp – with his hunting weight being between 65-70lbs and slightly taller than most. He is a high drive, hard charging dog. He has received the following from NAVHDA – NA pz II, UT pz II. He has also been cleared of genetic defects and hips passed in OFA. In the grouse woods he ranges from 50-150yds handling easy. Out in the prairie he ranges 100-400yds depending on cover and casts, commonly found around the 200-250yd range. We mix in waterfowl hunting with him as well as he has a great retrieve and loves ducks and the water. He does marks and handles to blinds with hand signals. Oslo is steady to release and is honest on birds. He honors other dogs – also steady to release honoring. He is the epitome of a versatile dog.

Reggie –

Reggie is also a German Shorthaired Pointer. He is young – born in April of 2024. Reggie is already showing to be a great upland dog. He will not be used for waterfowl. He is currently campaigning with Quail Canyon Kennels in Nebraska. He ran 6-7 open puppy trials in the late winter/spring of 25, placing in all but the first 2. He will be at summer camp in South Dakota late summer/early fall, prepping for a big fall 2025 of derby stakes. We see a lot of potential in Reggie and believe we have a future winner here. He runs hard, looks like he will be running a good shooting dog race range wise, points with a high head and tail, and handles well. His bio will be updated as the months go by and he grows, including his future accomplishments.
Reggie has been tested clear of genetic disorders.
